

Modern Bus Shelters
GHMC’s Loo Cafe is first of its kind luxury smart toiletThe GHMC in association with ASCI proposes to build modern bus shelters with high quality amenities under Public Private Partnership (PPP) framework. RFP notification has been issued for construction of 826 bus shelters on Design, Build, Finance, Operate & Transfer (DBFOT) basis with a concession period of 15 years.
The bus shelters will cover the entire city. Successful bidders have entered into concession agreement in January, 2018. The concessionaires have constructed 3 Grade-1 Modern Bus Shelters at Shilparamam, Kukatpally Housing Board and Sketch Plan of Modern Bus Shelter Modern Bus Shelters
RTA Office, Somajiguda, which were inaugurated by the
Hon’ble Minister for MA&UD Department in the month of
May, 2018. In addition to the above, construction at 51
locations are under progress. The Commissioner, GHMC
has constituted a Committee at Circle Level for smooth
execution of the project.
The 826 shelters have been divided into four grades. In
addition to the basic provisions of bus shelters like seating,
lighting, passenger information system, sidewalk, ramp etc.,
the following amenities are envisaged in the project:

Loo Cafe
GHMC’s Loo Cafe is first of its kind luxury smart toilet- GHMC’s Loo Cafe is first of its kind luxury smart toilet with classy Cafes, live monitoring systems to know the details of energy consumption, air circulation, stink and usage footfall
- It is built on the famous “Swiss Knife” concept maximising space and enhancing utility with technology
- It is equipped with automatic sanitary dispenser and CC cameras outside the toilets enhancing safety and security of the women
- The firstever “Loo Cafe” was installed near Shilparamam, the premium tourist location of the city
- 100 Loo Cafes are coming up manned by the differently -abled to create a livelihood for them

Double Bedroom
Dignity Housing SchemeThe Two Bedroom (2BHK) Dignity Housing is one of the flagship programmes of Government of Telangana.This programme is unique in the sense that it made a marked difference in the weaker section housing programmes. This initiative of the State Government is converged with the Prime Minister’s Awas Yojana (PMAY). The 2BHK housing programme envisages provision of a dignified dwelling unit to the beneficiaries with a plinth area of about 560 sft. with a provision for 2 Bedrooms, Hall, Kitchen, 2 Toilets, and more importantly without any beneficiary contribution. The three basic objectives are:

will be ready in 2018-19, the largest by any
State Government in the country for any ULB

Mana Nagaram
A Path-breaking Stakeholders' Forum"Mana Nagaram / Apna Shehar / Our City" is the brainchild of the Hon'ble Minister for Municipal Administration, Govt. of`Telangana, Shri K.T. Rama Rao. It is a kind of Town Hall meeting with the following objectives:
The meeting includes:
- To ensure that the stakeholders are involved in the development of the city
- To help in redressing people's grievances by bringing administration to their doorstep.
- The meeting includes: Corporators, Ward Committee members, Area Sabha members, Local leaders, People representatives, NGOs, CWAs, officials from GHMC, Hyderabad Metro Water Supply and Sewerage Board, HMR and Telangana State Southern Power Distribution Company Limited
- Issues like modernisation of drainages, traffic junction improvements, drinking water supply, road network and beautification of local colonies will be given utmost priority at meetings under "Mana Nagaram."
